CrashPlanAvailable for: CBS Computers - Personal Computers (Faculty + Grad students only)
CrashPlan provides automatic, unlimited backup of files on your CBS-owned computer. All backup files remain on campus and are retained for 90 days. Additionally, faculty and grad students may install CrashPlan on one personal device.
MatlabAvailable for: CBS Computers - WTS
MATLAB is a high-level language and interactive environment that enables you to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages such as C, C++, and Fortran.
SpotfireAvailable via: WTS
Spotfire is used for data analysis and visualization. Data from numerous, discrete sources (files, remote databases, etc ) can be combined for analysis and reporting.

Computer SubsidyInfo: Start a Purchase - Check Eligibility
CBS offers a computer subsidy of $600. Computers must be purchased by OIT and meet their hardware support standards. Eligibility: >25% appointment CBS, not temp/casual, not undergraduate position (2xxx). Subsidy is available upon hire and 4 years after previous subsidy purchase.

Poster PrintingWhere: University Imaging Center
CBS maintains an agreement with the University Imaging Center for discounted large format printing. The current rate is $2.50/sqft.
WTSAvailable for: Windows - Mac - Generic
Windows Terminal Services (WTS) is a collection of Windows servers with many University and CBS applications pre-installed. Any CBS student can connect from a University-owned or personal computer when on the Univeristy network or connected remotely via VPN. This is provided by a partnership with CLA's LATIS team.
