Line-Up
Student check-in will begin at 3:45 p.m. and line-up for Commencement begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. Line-up will take place inside the zamboni entrance of the ice level of Mariucci Arena. Signs will be in place to help guide you. The ceremony will last approximately two hours.

Students are lined up by major in the following order: Biochemistry, Biology, EEB, GCD, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Plant and Microbial Biology and multiple CBS majors. Students who have two or more CBS majors will line up separately under the category of “Multiple Majors.” Please look for the banner that lists your major for your place in the line-up. Staff from CBS Student Services will assist with the line-up.  Students can line-up in any order as long as they are in their respective majors. We will NOT be lining up alphabetically. Students will process across the stage from the left and exit via a ramp on the right.

Before Commencement and during the ceremony, the tassel stays is worn on the right side until the regent confers your degree and instructs you to move your tassel to the left side. 

There will not be secure storage space backstage. You are encouraged to leave valuables at home or with your guests.
