InSciEd Out

Integrated Science Education Outreach (InSciEd Out) is a partnership between the Mayo Clinic and the College of Biological Sciences, committed to rebuilding pre-K-12 science education. Our mission is to engage students and empower teachers through research-based, experiential classroom learning. Since starting in Rochester in 2008, students who have participated in the program has seen improvements in content knowledge, attitude toward science, and participation in the sciences. InSciEd Out trains educators to offer engaging science class activities and curriculum to their students, while helping students envision their future in a STEM-related career.

In the Twin Cities, InSciEd Out receives advisory assistance from CBS faculty as well as operational assistance and support staff from the College to help the program run. Contact Seth Thompson for more information about the program or volunteer opportunities.
