Grand Challenges in Biology Postdoctoral Program

A new postdoctoral program designed to expand multidisciplinary collaboration launched in early 2016. The college accepted applications from postdoctoral associated in working with two or more faculty advisors (one must be CBS faculty) on projects that address major societal challenges. The CBS Grand Challenges in Biology Postdoctoral Program is part of a larger effort by the University to bring researchers from different fields together to address “grand challenges” connected to the environment and health.

Over the course of the two-year fellowships, post-doctoral associates will participate in grant proposal development workshops and other professional development activities offered at the University. They can also serve as principal investigators on grant proposals. The program will fund up to six post-doctoral researchers at a time.
