MCSB Orientation
Each August, first-year MCSB students take part in a week-long orientation course held at Itasca Station. A mix between lab modules, lectures, and social events, this course acquaints students with the breadth of research conducted by graduate faculty and helps them find potential rotation projects. Holding this course in the North Woods provides an informal environment with few distractions. Students will get to know the faculty and other students while being immersed in science.
