The College of Biological Sciences solicits nominations for the Alumni Awards from all members of the CBS community. Please submit a nomination for up to two of the categories below. Self-nominations are also welcome. Alumni who are chosen for the awards will be notified by the college and all nominators will be informed of the overall results. Award recipients will be recognized at the annual CBS Recognition and Appreciation Dinner on September 24, 2024.

CBS Alumni Service Award
The CBS Alumni Service Award is open to alumni who have made a significant impact in their community through public or professional service.
CBS Emerging Leader Award
The College of Biological Sciences Alumni Emerging Leader Award recognizes recent CBS undergraduate alumni who demonstrate leadership qualities in their personal and/or professional endeavors. To be eligible for the Emerging Leader Award, an alum must have graduated with a bachelor's degree between 2003 and 2018.
CBS Alumni Achievement Award
The College of Biological Sciences Alumni Achievement Award is open to alumni who graduated before 2009 with either a bachelor's or graduate degree and have made an impact in their field, community and world.
Preparing your nomination
The nomination form will ask you for the following:
- Award for which the nominee is being considered (up to two nominations will be accepted)
- A nomination statement (250 words max)
- Provide supporting materials, such as letters of support, published articles about the nominee's actions, beneficiaries of their service or civil endeavors
- Phonetic pronunciation of the nominee's name, for example, Leliy is "leigh-lee"
- CBS degree, major or graduate program, and graduation year
