Colleen received her B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Ecology from Cornell University. She earned a M.S. in Biology from the University of South Dakota with her thesis titled “Does intraguild predation influence the distribution of the endangered Hine’s emerald dragonfly (Somatochlora hineana)?” Her academic interests include ecology, entomology, grasslands, wetlands and restoration. Colleen enjoys backpacking, canoeing, climbing, gardening, her dog and eating good food.

Melissa, a native of Rosemount, MN, attended the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she received her B.S. in Fisheries, Wildlife & Conservation Biology with a specialization in Wildlife in 2008. She is particularly interested in avian biology and behavior. She enjoys fishing, photography, music, camping and is a devoted MN Twins fan.
