Life before CBS…
Before starting in CBS, I served as the Career Development Program Manager at Northwestern Health Sciences University. I loved getting the opportunity to prepare students for “what’s next” and am very passionate about engaging in early career development conversations in advising sessions.

Adjusting to college life…
As a natural extrovert, I thoroughly embraced the opportunity to meet new people and try new things. Something that helped me adjust to life in college was intentionally saying “yes” to things that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I liked to remind myself that everyone might be feeling a bit nervous and eager to make friends, so taking the initiative and striking up a conversation can help create connections and build community from the very beginning. One of the most transformative community-building experiences I had in my college career was studying abroad– I met some of my very best pals through this opportunity.

Favorite part of the job?
I find great fulfillment in accompanying students on their journeys, witnessing their exploration of majors, classes, and the university, as well as their personal growth and self-discovery as they shape their future identities.

Current passions, hobbies, things that give you joy?
I have a close-knit circle of family and friends, with whom I spend much of my time. Traveling is a passion of mine, having visited approximately 20 countries. I enjoy playing card games, particularly cribbage, and indulging in audiobooks and podcasts—I'm always eager for recommendations. I also appreciate coffee flights, heist movies, and lots of different kinds of music!
