Heewon
Lee
Heewon's research examines inclusion and diversity efforts of genetic counselors in health education, how the lack of family health history impacts adoptees and donor-conceived adults' use of Direct-to-Consumer Genetic Testing (DTC-GT), the ways in which reproductive justice and critical adoption studies intersect, and genetic education in oncology. Heewon is a member of the NIH’s Inter-Society Coordinating Committee for Practitioner Education in Genomics (ISCC-PEG) DTC-GT working group, the chair of the Minnesota Genetic Counselors Association’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) committee, and is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
