Juan Carlos Rivera-Mulia
Assistant Professor
Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics
The human genome is organized in functional compartments that align with the temporal order of DNA replication. Research in the Rivera-Mulia lab focusses in identifying the regulatory elements of genome architecture, understanding how the specific folding patterns of the chromosomes evolve, and how altered chromosome architecture can disrupt gene function in disease.
