Life before CBS…
I most recently worked in a Career Services office in Wisconsin and during grad school did a practicum in career counseling at Macalester College. Before grad school, I worked in a few marketing and writing roles in the Twin Cities.
Adjusting to college life…
Finding places on campus I felt most comfortable studying or hanging out helped me feel more settled along with meeting friends in my dorm. The longest lasting friendships I’ve had from college were ones that started later on by happenstance. It’s ok if it takes time for things to click!
Favorite part of the job?
Helping students work through some of life’s big questions and go after the opportunities they are excited about. Sharing in a student’s excitement when they learn they were offered an opportunity or accepted into graduate school brings me a lot of joy.
Current passions, hobbies, things that give you joy?
I find joy in spending time outside (especially walking on trails), reading books and non-fiction online articles, and being with family and friends. I’ve also loved having a vegetable garden the past few years and figuring out what to do when you have way too many tomatoes!
Be on the lookout for...
Words and phrases around my office - likely scribbled on post-it notes. I love visual reminders of mindsets and habits I aim to live by.
