Education
I completed my undergraduate degree in Seattle, originally I was on the pre-law track and got my BA in Law Societies and Justice. During my time as an undergraduate however, I got involved in service learning opportunities and stumbled into a passion for educational design. This led me to getting my Masters degree in Educational Studies at the University of Michigan (the other U of M) .
Life before CBS…
I moved around a lot! I grew up in Texas and Nebraska, went to college in Washington and Michigan and worked as a College Access Advisor at a non-profit in Chicago. After graduate school I also had the opportunity to solo travel through Southeast Asia on a travel fellowship. If you ever want to chat about backpacking or navigating a move – come find me.
Adjusting to college life…
Was really challenging for me. It took me a while to adjust to the independence while also figuring out my academic passions and interests. For me, getting involved through volunteering opportunities and jobs was how I figured out how to combine my passions with majors and career options!
Favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of the job is being able to connect with students and bring what interests them into the academic spaces they’re a part of. I particularly love figuring out how to connect the cultural zeitgeist / social movements with academic curriculum.
Current passions, hobbies, things that give you joy?
One of my passions is the local libraries! I love exploring libraries in as many cities as I can as well as placing a healthy amount of holds on Libby.

Funky earrings. I love an accessory to bring some color to my day, especially when the weather is gloomy.
