About BioLine

BioLine launched in the fall of 2020. Two CBS graduate students, Abbey Robinson (MCDB&G) and Judee Sharon (BMBB), started the blog/newsletter with the support of CBS communications staff. The inspiration came from Nature briefings — succinct, witty and effective science communication pieces — and the desire to learn more about what their graduate student peers were working on.

Given increased interest of students beyond CBS, in winter of 2022, BioLine expanded. Now any UMN students/researchers can contribute to the blog.

The views and opinions expressed on CBS BioLine are those of the blog author. They do not reflect the official policy of the manuscript authors’ employers, the University of Minnesota or funders. Blogs are not intended to malign any religion, ethic group, club, organization, company, individual or anyone or anything.
