Dave Moeller

Dave is an assistant professor in the Department of Plant Biology. His lab primarily researches processes that promote and limit adaptive evolution at the phenotypic and molecular level. He is the research mentor for Annika Moe, who has been in his lab studying the process of speciation in two closely-related flowers in the genus Clarkia.

Dave is also a primary investigator in the HHMI research mentor program. In his lab, undergraduate researcher Katie Tuininga and her mentor Ryan Runquist are looking for evidence of speciation in the wildflower C. xantiana.
