Temperate Collections
Not all plants enjoy growing all year. Some like to rest. Many of those plants in our collection reside in this room, where the summers are warm and the winters are cool. In fact, there is a distinct feeling of four seasons in this room as the climate changes throughout the year and the plants respond. Similar to some plants that grow outside here in the Midwest, many plants in our Temperate Collections are colorful in autumn, yet bare in winter, only to bloom and go green in the spring and summer.
