The rapid pace of scientific discovery and the development of new technologies offer students an unparalleled freedom to engage in interdisciplinary research. In recognition of these emerging opportunities, the graduate programs in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics (BMBB) and in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Genetics (MCDBG) have merged their first year graduate training in Molecular, Cellular and Structural Biology (MCSB).
Molecular, Cellular and Structural Biology (MCSB) Umbrella allows students in either MCDB&G or BMBB graduate programs to rotate in faculty labs that are associated with either program. After students have found labs (Spring of their first year), students will follow their respective graduate program curriculums and policies (either MCDB&G or BMBB).
Application deadline
There is not an application for MCSB. Please apply to either MCDB&G, BMBB or both graduate programs. The application deadline for both programs is December 1. Spring semester admission is not offered.
