During the field season, daily meals are served buffet-style in the Itasca Station dining hall located on the lakeshore. Meal arrangements for groups must be made at least three weeks in advance of arrival at the station.
From mid-May through early October, daily meals are served regular meal schedule in the dining hall is:
|Breakfast 7 - 8 am
|Lunch 12 - 1 pm
|Brunch 10 - 11 am
|Dinner 6 - 7 pm
|Dinner 5 - 6 pm
There is a 15-minute warning bell before every meal, and a second bell when the buffet line opens; please wait until the second bell to enter the dining hall. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult through the dining hall buffet line. Please only take what you will eat, in order to limit food waste.
Our kitchen staff is familiar and experienced with accommodating special dietary needs, and dishes are strictly prepared and labeled for people with food allergies. We provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and other dietary options upon request. The kitchen will attempt to accommodate requests, but it may not be possible to prepare separate options to meet requests for every meal.
