Itasca Biological Station and Laboratories runs several different types of educational programming, including our legacy Field Biology program which has been running undergraduate and graduate-level courses since 1909 and Science of Craft - our newest program which is open to lifelong learners. The station also hosts several University of Minnesota student orientations, the largest of which is the College of Biological Science's Nature of Life program for incoming first year students. Additionally, the station invites instructors from both within and external to the University of Minnesota to teach their course (or part of a course) at the station.
