Itasca Field Biology Course Registration & Key Dates

3000- and 4000-level course application process

Step 1: Apply

Before registering for our 3000- and 4000-level courses, students submit a brief application form. The purpose of the application is to share important program information and to ensure that students understand and agree to program expectations. See table below for key dates.

For Students from outside of the University of Minnesota System

Complete the application form first.
After your form is received, you will get an email from [email protected] with further instructions on pre-requisite verification and consideration for scholarships.

Step 2: Register

Registration is processed on a rolling basis once it opens. Permission numbers do not reserve a seat, so register as soon as possible to secure your spot.
Registration is administered through the UMN–Twin Cities system.
Students from Crookston, Duluth, Morris, or Rochester: You must work with your advisor on multi-institution enrollment before registering.
External or non-degree-seeking students: You must request a University of Minnesota student account before registering.
