White Earth Itasca Internship

As part of Itasca Station's commitment to local communities, two three-week paid internships are offered every June in scientific research for rising seniors and recent high school graduates. Interns are mentored by graduate students and/or research scientists and participate directly in fieldwork and data collection for ongoing research projects at the station. The experience begins with a tour of the station and a meet-and-greet with staff, and concludes with a final presentation to an audience of researchers, station staff, local teachers, and family members. Students reside at the station for the duration of the internship, providing an immersive experience of working and living at a field station. This opportunity has been enabled by a generous donor.
