Doug Becker is an expert glassblower based just a few blocks away from Cedar Creek in East Bethel. He has more than 40 years of experience working with glass, and his unique designs focus on capturing the fluid movement of molten glass in ways that are charming, creative and unexpected. One of his signature creations is a series of glass birds, modeled after the common species found in our area. In 2018 and 2019, Doug created a set of local birds, including our much-beloved red-headed woodpecker, for display in the Lindeman Research and Discovery Center.
Doug's work can be viewed and purchased on his website, or at his studio in East Bethel, MN.
