Bunkhouse cabins: 17 bunkhouse cabins are available May - October for academic groups and researchers. Bunkhouse cabin accommodate anywhere from 6 to 10 people per cabin. Some bunkhouse cabins have toilets and sinks; showers and laundry facilities are located in two central bathhouses.

Note: There are no cooking facilities in these cabins, so occupants must eat in the dining hall. Bunkhouse cabins are not available for rent from mid-October through early May.

Faculty cabins: 17 faculty cabins are available May–October for academic groups and researchers. There are 7 faculty cabins kept open year-round. Faculty cabins have modern facilities with full kitchens (dishes, cookware, microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, and coffeemakers) and full or 3/4 bathrooms.

Camping for academic groups and researchers: The small IBSL campground can accommodate up to six tents from early May to late September. The campground building provides bathrooms, showers, refrigerators, and food storage. There are no cooking facilities, so campers may choose to cook with a camp stove, grill or purchase meals from the dining hall in advance. The IBSL campground is open only to graduate students, postdocs, and researchers visiting short term.

Please note that at this time, cabins are not being rented to recreational users.
