Marlene Zuk

Marlene is a professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. Her research focuses on emerging questions in behavioral ecology and evolutionary biology, such as the effect of sexual selection on an organism's behavior.

Marlene is the research mentor for Elizabeth Bastiaans, the newest HHMI postdoc. Elizabeth came to the University of Minnesota for the opportunity to work with Marlene. She will be conducting research on the sexual selection and behavior of insects in Marlene's lab. Elizabeth will also be co-teaching a freshman seminar about alternative medicine with Marlene in the fall.
